Welcome to the Baden Powell School Council.
Led by Mr Booker
What do we do?
The Baden Powell School Council comprises of pupils from each KS2 class. They bring ideas from their class back to central meetings which can be developed across the school. Already this year, we have helped to raise money for charity by organising and arranging charity days, including Children In Need. We have helped develop the playground, reviewed playground equipment and been involved with improving the middle garden. We have taken ideas from our class and suggested improvements around the school and to the curriculum. We have also been working hard to improve knowledge and understanding of Children's Rights across the school. We have led assemblies, produced posters and participated in workshops. Our hard work was recognised by us being awarded our Bronze Rights Respecting Award.
Two of our members are also included in the Grand Council, which meet with other primary schools and the local High School to help develop our cluster of local schools.
