Weekly Routines

Reading – Reading with your child is one of the most important skills unfortunately due to the current situation we won’t be able to send reading books home.  However, we will be continuing to listen to children read as much as possible and encourage you to use the online Oxford Owl website to access books.

 

Snack- Unfortunately, due to the current situation we are unable to provide your child with a snack.  Please could your child bring in a healthy piece of fruit and a drink for snack time.

 

PE- We will have PE every Monday, please could your child wear trainers on this day.  At the moment we will not be changing for PE so no need to bring in PE kit at present.

 

Outdoor Learning – We will be working outside throughout the week so please can you make sure that your child always has a warm coat with them.

 

Homework- We will not be able to send homework home at the moment so all weekly homework will be set on a Friday on Class Dojo.

Language, Literacy and Communication

Writing stories using capital letters and full stops.

Listening to and retelling stories through discussion.

Handwriting- developing our cursive joins within tricky words.

Reading- developing our reading skills independently and through Guided Group Reading.
